Similar to toothbrushes, experts recommend replacing tongue scrapers at least every 3 months.

esso® scraper heads are industrially compostable, meaning they can be dropped in the same bins as you would any type of food waste or yard trimmings and they will be composted of properly.

Thanks for doing your part to help reduce plastic waste!

MAGNETIC STAND

How do I stick the esso® magnetic stand to the countertop?

Turn the stand over and peel the thin plastic tab that is on the underside, covering the special black adhesive. Now stick to any clean surface.

The stand is moveable and re-stickable at any time.

Is the magnetic stand permanent once I stick it?

No! The special adhesive is re-stickable. Although the special adhesive sticks to your counter firmly, you can still remove and reapply somewhere else!

If you're moving it and it gets dirty or oily, it may not stick well. Just wash the dirt off lightly with a bit of water and let it dry. Voila! It's sticky again!

I'm traveling. Can I take my magnetic stand with me?

YES! Just peel it carefully from your countertop and stick it to something in your toiletry bag.

Once you're at your new location, peel it off and stick it to the counter.

Do the same on your way back. That's it!

My magnetic stand won't stick. Can I make it stick again?

YES! The adhesive is reusable/re-stickable!

If you're moving it and it gets dirty or oily, it may not stick. All you need to do is lightly wash the dirt off of the adhesive with a bit of water and let it dry. Voila, it's sticky again!

GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is Tongue Scraping?

Tongue scraping is the process of using a tool to clean debris, bacteria, and dead cells that can accumulate on your tongue.

Why should I scrape my tongue?

It's ESSENTIAL for oral hygiene and general health!

Bacteria, debris, and dead cells can easily build up on your tongue between your taste buds. Your tongue isn’t smooth - it is covered with crevices that trap particles.

Even if you brush your teeth well, you are leaving bacteria and other particles on your tongue if you’re not scraping it with the proper sraper. Brushing your tongue with a toothbrush isn't effective because it just moves the debris around. Using mouthwash or rinsing your mouth with water isn’t very effective either since it removes only the outer cells of debris.

If the debris is allowed to accumulate and remain on your tongue, it could cause bad breath, dental issues, and even general health issues.

Are there any side effects?

The only side effect to esso® is fresher breath!

Actually, other scrapers do have side effects - most metal ones are too harsh and damage taste buds and desensitize your tongue. Plastic ones are usually too soft and make you push harder to clean, causing similar issues.

esso® has been designed to provide the most effective scrape while being super gentle! So no side-effects like other scrapers.

Like brushing your teeth, just don't overdo it.

Can scraping cause damage to my tongue?

With other scrapers, yes.

Most metal ones are too harsh and damage taste buds and desensitize your tongue. Plastic ones are usually too soft and make you push harder to clean, causing similar issues.

esso® has been designed to provide the most effective scrape while being super gentle, thereby eliminating any damage.

Like with anything else, just do it in moderation and you will have a happy tongue/happy life.

Does it desensitize my taste buds like other scrapers?

No

Unlike other scrapers, which can be exteremely harsh on the tongue, esso® Luxe Tongue Scraper is the smoothest, silkiest scraper that will not cause any issues with your taste buds.

Most metal ones are too harsh and damage taste buds and desensitize your tongue. Plastic ones are usually too soft and make you push harder to clean, causing similar issues.

esso® has been designed to provide the most effective scrape while being super gentle, thereby eliminating any desensitization of taste buds.

Just don't go crazy with it. Like with anything else, do it in moderation and you will have a happy tongue/happy life.

Is a white tongue bad?

It surely isn't good...

Your tongue may have a white, coated appearance if you have a buildup of excess debris and bacteria.

If this occurs, you should scrape your tongue twice daily after brushing your teeth to remove the white coating and to keep it from returning.

If, in the rare case, it does not clear up after scraping your tongue twice daily for a week, it is recommended to see your doctor as it may be due to other internal factors.
